Operate A Temporary Suspended Platform

(LNQ)

Operating a TSP takes place within a regulatory framework that seeks to ensure safety of the operator and the occupants, the TSP and its environment. Temporary Suspended Platforms are inherently dangerous, hence, their safe operation cannot be overstated. Learners will acquire skills to operate the systems to accomplish the task of operating the TSP appropriately. Safety while operating a TSP and during emergency situations is also covered.

Erect And Dismantle A Temporary Suspended Platform

(LNQ)

The learning programme is developed to ensure that all TSP Platforms are erected in accordance with SANS 10295-2. On completion of this programme the learner will be able to erect, move and dismantle TSP Platforms as well as identifying hazards relating to the TSP processes.

Temporary Suspended Platform Supervisor

(UNIT STANDARD 243271)

The person credited with this unit standard is able to ensure that Temporary Suspended Platforms are used safely and efficiently on a construction site. It will also enable them to conduct the necessary inspections to ensure that safety is maintained for the duration of the “Temporary Suspended Platforms” usage.
