Lifting Tackle Inspector Course
Learn how to correctly inspect the lifting tackle in your workshop and become an appointed inspector for the end user or for your employer (2 days).
The 3-day session includes the external inspection of manual chain hoists.

Manual Chain Hoist Inspector
Learn how to perform a manual hoist inspection and service correctly and safely in accordance with the new SANS 500 and ensuring legal compliance with the OHS Act and DMR 18.

Safe Lifting and Slinging
Learn how to safely choose the correct
lifting tackle, calculate the load weights, connect the tackle correctly to the load, raise and travel with the load and safely deliver the load to the pre-planned position in accordance with good rigging practice.

Socketing Operator
Learn how to select the appropriate wire rope and how to correctly handle, coil, cut and terminate the rope in accordance with SANS 53411. You will also learn how to correctly fit a socket using resin or white metal.

Splicing Operator
Learn how to select the appropriate rope and how to correctly handle, coil, cut and terminate the rope in accordance with SANS 53411. You will also learn how to mechanically and hand splice the sling eye.
